Elphaba Necklace sold at Wicked's Website & The Gershwin
Auctioned to benefit BCEFA "Elphabear" wears an exacting re-creation of the Broadway costume, a veritable potpourri of iridescent velvet and sheer swatches (blacks, reds, greens, and golds) quilted onto net. For the skirt, they are arranged into more than twenty narrow, asymmetrical ruffled layers, creating the effect of a deep, ruffle-shaped hemline as well. The long-sleeved bodice is fitted, and conforms to Elphies surgically re-proportioned, velvet-corseted figure; and a long, black silk-taffeta cape falls at the back. She wears black cotton-lycra stockings and black leather lace-up boots with curled up, pointy toes. Beneath her pointy, black silk-jacquard hat (Its really, uh, sharp, dont you think?) is her dark human-hair wig, with its single long braid on the left. Never one to accept limits cause someone says theyre so, Elphabear is a potent reminder that some things [we] cannot change, but til [we] try, [well] never know!

ENJOY!
Fellow Ozians, this web page was assembled by Elaine Willingham @ Beyond the Rainbow beyondtherainbow2oz.com to preserve the legacy of the Original Broadway Cast of Wicked. Elaine is the co-author of "Cooking in Oz" -- that has recently been re-released and the publisher has plans for a second printing. We hope to include recipes from all of your "Wicked" favorites. Bravo! to all involved with the production, it's amazing.
